LIKE ALL GREAT IDEAS, TACOPORIUM WAS CONCEIVED WHILST DRINKING A COUPLE OF CERVEZAS & EATING TACOS. WE DAYDREAMED OF TACO SLINGING THROUGH THE SUMMERS AND LAZY WINTERS IN THE TROPICS.
THEN OF COURSE REALITY KICKED IN…BUT THE SEED WAS PLANTED, SO WE ATE SOME MORE TACOS AND BEFORE WE KNEW IT WE WERE THE PROUD OWNERS OF A WHITE BOX ON WHEELS AND A NEW BUSINESS TO RUN!
THAT WAS IN 2017; A LOT HAS CHANGED SINCE THEN AND THERE HAVE UNDOUBTEDLY BEEN SOME CHALLENGING TIMES ALONG THE WAY BUT ONE THING THAT HAS NEVER BEEN UP FOR DEBATE IS THAT TACO LIFE IS STILL THE LIFE FOR US!
WE MOVED OUT OF OUR LITTLE TRAILER ‘THE SQUARESTREAM’ WHICH SERVED US SO WELL FOR ALMOST 5 YEARS AND ARE NOW THE PROUD OWNERS OF A BIG GREEN VAN WE CALL ‘THE AQUAVAN’.
SUMMER (AND MOST OF SPRING, AUTUMN, AND A DECENT CHUNK OF WINTER!) IS SPENT TRAVELLING UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY TO WEDDINGS, FESTIVALS, CORPORATE AND PRIVATE EVENTS, AND BECASUE WE TAKE THIS TACO BUSINESS SO SERIOUSLY WE HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO GO ON A FEW VERY IMPORTANT BUT EQUALLY ENJOYABLE RESEARCH TRIPS TO MEXICO AND THE USA ALONG THE WAY. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT WE DO AND ARE SO PROUD OF EVERYTHING WE HAVE ACHEIVED SO FAR.
